This diploma seeks to contribute to the training of professionals and specialists in the evaluation of projects, instruments and programs. It is expected to strengthen the skills necessary to design and implement evaluations, as well as act as critical counterparts in the commissioning of evaluations to third parties.

At the moment, the second edition of the Diploma is underway, which ends in August 2023. The opening of registrations for the third edition is scheduled for the first semester of 2024.
- Bachelor's degree from tertiary or suitable careers that meet the established requirements.
- It will be valued for registration that participants are linked to institutions committed to territorial development, science, technology and innovation.
Submit application by completing the form from 19/04/2022 to 30/06/2022.
Then, the following documentation must be sent to the email deval@utec.edu.uy with the subject "Application_Name and Surname", in a single PDF document:
- Curriculum vitae
- Motivation letter (if applying for a scholarship, also include the reasons that justify the application for the scholarship)
- Endorsement letter (if you apply for a scholarship)
Cost and financing
Second Edition 2022: $50,600 (fifty thousand six hundred Uruguayan pesos). Financing in installments is possible.

Participants who take the diploma will be able to:
- Understand evaluation: learn the main characteristics of the discipline, its purposes, functions and the distinction from other disciplines.
- Design an evaluation: understand the context of a project, formulate the logic model, identify evaluation questions and design, analyze and criticize evaluation parameters.
- Implement an evaluation: explore existing information sources, as well as design and apply information-gathering instruments, in coordination with the context of the intervention and the evaluation design.
- Request an evaluation: learn the phases of the evaluation project, its main requirements and characteristics, so as to play an adequate role as counterpart of the assignment.
Cross-curricular competences:
- Identify current tendencies and cross-curricular methodological approaches to partially or fully incorporate them in the evaluations.
- Elaborate a coherent and solid discourse from the conceptual and methodological point of view that allows the contribution from an evaluation perspective to discussion, analysis and opinion-former groups.
