About unit

The Renewable Energy Technological Unit aims to meet the needs of the energy generation sector in Uruguay in the area of R&D&I. It is linked to the environment through technical advice and R+D+i projects related to new applications of solar thermal energy, storage and production of green hydrogen, maintenance of wind turbines, development of alternative technologies in the area of photovoltaic energy and energy storage systems. It has human resources specialized in solar energy, wind energy, green hydrogen and integration of renewable energy sources.

  • Evaluation and improvement in efficiency of renewable energy generation systems.
