UTEC's international mobility calls promote academic and professional experiences abroad, as well as "internationalization at home," through exchange with international institutions and partners.

These opportunities help strengthen academic training, build global networks, and enrich both academic and professional pathways.

Who can apply?

The calls are open to UTEC students, graduates, faculty members, and staff.

Applications may be submitted individually or in groups, depending on the specific call.

What kind of activities can you do?

Through these calls, you can take part in different international experiences, either in-person or virtual:

• Exchanges at foreign universities

• Academic or professional internships

• International conferences and events

• Courses and training programs

• Technical and academic visits

• International activities in Uruguay

• Exchange and hosting of students, faculty, and researchers

Funding

The calls provide financial support for participating in international academic activities.

Funding amounts and conditions vary depending on the type of activity and may include, among others: travel and accommodation expenses, participation in courses or training programs, and organization of or attendance at international academic events.

Each call defines the funding criteria, maximum amounts, and specific conditions.

Scope

Mobility calls do not fund postgraduate programs, diplomas, or certifications. These are managed through institutional professional development mechanisms.

Frequency

Calls are launched periodically, twice a year, in April and October.

Applicants are encouraged to regularly check official channels for updated information on deadlines, requirements, and conditions.
