ABOUT THE DEGREE
The Bachelor's Degree in Dairy Science and Technologies is the first degree in the country that trains university professionals specifically for the dairy industry.
Graduates can enter into different sectors of the diary chain, as they have the necessary skills required for the sector: technology implementation, quality and safety, research, development and innovation in dairy products and ingredients.
- High School graduates from the Technical and Professional Education Council.
- For students graduated from the Dairy Industry Technician Degree from CETP/UTU, this degree offers continuity of studies, allowing them to graduate after completing six semesters.
- Advanced students from higher education degrees and/or university degrees in the area, who will comply with the validation procedure established in the institutional regulations.
Students from the CIO in Science and Technology from the University of the Republic, Northern Cenur, with at least 50 earned credits will be able to pre-enroll to UTEC, even if they have not taken the Higher Secondary Education track required by the degree they are applying to.
Graduates from this degree will be competent to:
- Create and manage dairy and diary product companies.
- Develop and control milk and dairy product production processes, in accordance with quality models recognized nationally and internationally.
- Carry out professional trainings for the development of applied research projects and innovation projects on new dairy products and derivatives, as well as market and consumer studies.
- Provide consultancy services to the industry, small and medium-size companies, small producers of dairy foods, restaurants, businesses and services, regarding handling of dairy products.

Las preinscripciones a las carreras de grado de UTEC inician generalmente en el mes de noviembre y se realizan a través de un formulario web. Una vez aprobada la fecha oficial de inicio y fin de preinscripciones, podrás verla en nuestro sitio web.
La documentación necesaria para realizar esta preinscripción es la siguiente:
- Cédula de identidad
- Carné de salud vigente o constancia de que se encuentra en trámite
- Pase de Enseñanza Media Superior (fórmula 69A de bachillerato o constancia de egreso del CES o DGETP-UTU)
- Carta de motivación
Si realizaste tus estudios secundarios en el extranjero y querés preinscribirte a la carrera ingresá aquí para informarte.
En el caso de aquellas carreras que no poseen límite de cupos para el ingreso o cuyos cupos no son superados en el primer período de preinscripciones, se abre una nueva instancia en el período enero-febrero.
