The Pixel Program is a training initiative in citizenship and artificial intelligence aimed at strengthening key digital skills to build a responsible, people-centered future. Through modular and flexible learning pathways, it addresses topics such as global digital citizenship, critical use of AI, data, cybersecurity, and employability.
Its approach goes beyond technical skills by integrating conceptual, practical, and ethical dimensions, and promotes challenge-based learning in collaboration with organizations under the principle of learning by doing.
The PIXEL Program is designed for a broad and diverse audience, primarily targeting individuals over 18 years of age living anywhere in Uruguay, thanks to its virtual format.
It is aimed at the general public, ranging from people with no technical background seeking career transition opportunities to professionals in data, programming, and systems who wish to deepen their knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. It also allows participants with prior experience to validate their skills and access advanced levels directly.
Graduates will be able to participate in digital environments mediated by emerging technologies in an informed, ethical, and responsible manner.
Upon completing the program, participants will have developed the following key competencies:
Critical Digital Citizenship: Ability to understand and exercise rights and responsibilities in digital environments, promoting inclusion, ethics, and informed civic participation.
Digital Wellbeing Management: Skills to build healthy habits and a conscious digital identity, managing the impact of technology on personal and social life.
Critical Thinking in AI and Data: Competence to evaluate, use, and manage artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions reflectively, avoiding purely instrumental approaches.
Security and Cybersecurity: Ability to identify and mitigate digital risks, fostering a culture of data protection and network security.
Real-World Challenge Solving: Capacity to apply technical and transversal knowledge collaboratively to solve problems in organizational and productive contexts (specifically through the aiUTEChallenge framework).
Learning Agility: Ability to engage in continuous learning and adapt to rapid technological evolution and changes in the digital landscape.
The program is delivered primarily online, combining asynchronous, self-paced activities that allow participants to manage their own schedules with synchronous virtual sessions for deeper exploration and guidance when needed. Although distance learning is the predominant format, the program also includes in-person or hybrid activities for specific pathways that involve applied work or the resolution of real-world challenges.
The estimated weekly workload varies depending on the module, ranging from 15 to 60 total hours, generally distributed over a two-month period.
Las fechas para preinscribirse serán comunicadas próximamente.
