Research Group on Honey Technology and Apicultural Products

The Research Group on Honey Technology and Apicultural Products aims to study and generate knowledge on different aspects of the beekeeping production chain, including products, harvesting, post-harvest treatments, regulations, quality, and value addition of products. To this end, we develop projects funded both internally and externally and collaborate with other laboratories from national and international research institutions.

  1. Characterization and differentiation of honeys
  2. Characterization and differentiation of propolis
  3. Study of bioactive compounds and evaluation of their biological activity
  4. Formulation of products and food supplements with apicultural ingredients
