The purpose of the Scientific Equipment Program is to optimize the purchase, availability, use and performance of the equipment acquired by UTEC to carry out research activities and provision of technological services, and it works under the call modality.

To apply for the call, you must take into account:

• Research and/or service provision groups made up of UTEC professors may apply, and may include professors or researchers from other institutions.
• The institutional manager of the project must be a UTEC professor, with a workload equal to or greater than 30 hours per week in their position.
• All members of the applicant team must have their resume on the CVUy platform.
• The projects must have the endorsement of the ITR management where the equipment will be incorporated and, in the event of being financed, it undertakes to ensure the installation and start-up of the acquired equipment.
• Not having purchases pending from the previous call on the date of the application.

The program finances the purchase of large-scale scientific equipment, indicating the specific price range in each call. The training and certifications necessary for the use of the equipment and other associated expenses can also be financed in the program (see details in the bases).

To apply for the call for Scientific Equipment, a form must be completed through Odoo in which specific fields and the necessary documents will be indicated.
