The research scholarships awarded by UTEC are intended to enhance the institution's research and development capabilities by fostering the training and recruitment of talented individuals. These scholarships aim to support the execution of research activities within the framework of graduate projects, research projects, and projects involving the provision or development of technological services.

The Graduate Scholarships are aimed at university graduates who are carrying out or about to start a Postgraduate Research (Master's or Doctorate), candidates in process can be presented. Initial teaching hours are financed through a term contract associated with the work project, for a maximum of 2 years. Likewise, the beneficiary is given amounts to finance expenses of the project, for example, purchase of supplies or travel expenses.

Students from any university, whether national or international, can be beneficiaries of the scholarship. It's important to note that one of the scholarship's supervisors must be a UTEC professor, and the majority of the research activities should take place at UTEC.

To access the scholarship, the interested person must:

• Be enrolled in a Master's or Doctorate, or in process.
• Possess a UTEC tutor and a letter of endorsement indicating their agreement to perform in such a role.
• Identify the research group that receives it, and present a research project within the framework of the postgraduate course to be carried out.
• Submit a letter of motivation.
• At the time of taking office, no more than 60 hours may be accumulated between the scholarship contract and the other activities that the applicant has.
• The call for Graduate Scholarships opens annually, applying through Odoo for applicants belonging to UTEC and through the UTEC website for applicants from other institutions.
