The Technological University, in conjunction with the Federal University of Santa Maria and the Federal Institute of Sul-riograndense, communicates the results of the selection process for the Specialization in Higher Technological and Professional Education.
Following the evaluation of resumes and motivation letters from over three hundred applicants to the Specialization in Higher Technological and Professional Education (ESTP), the list of 50 admitted students for the first cohort of the binational postgraduate program has been finalized. The places, distributed equally, include 25 Uruguayans and 25 Brazilians.
The ESTP is a free, blended learning program designed to strengthen the continuing education of teachers and professionals in Uruguay and southern Brazil. Through this one-year program, UTEC and its partner institutions (UFSM and IFSUL) aim to enhance teaching, research, and outreach with a focus on local communities and international cooperation.
Classes are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The specialization combines weekly synchronous classes and activities on a virtual platform, in addition to three mandatory in-person meetings. Upon completion of the postgraduate program, graduates will receive a certificate co-issued by the three organizing institutions, valid for both countries.
