Graciela Do Mato
Member of UTEC's provisional Central Board of Directors
Graduated in Pneumocardiology (Udelar) and Psychology (Udelar). She graduated in Advanced Studies as part of a Doctoral Program in Education from the University of Murcia. In 1982 she began her academic activity and in 2011 she was appointed as Grade 5 Senior Lecturer of the School of Medicine in the capacity of Director of the University School of Medical Technology. Between 1989 and 2010 she was a member of a variety of delegations and university co-government commissions. She took courses in teacher training, virtual environments, extension education and university research. She participated in publications in national and foreign peer-reviewed journals, and was a speaker at events related to her profession in Uruguay and abroad.
Rodolfo Silveira
Member of UTEC's provisional Central Board of Directors
Medical Doctor and PhD in Science. He has completed a Master's degree in Business Management. He was a researcher in the area of Neurosciences at the Clemente Estable Biological Research Institute (IIBCE). He was a teacher at the School of Medicine and the Hospital de Clínicas from UdelaR. He worked as a researcher in different Swedish institutions, both in the academic and productive sectors. In 1998 he settled in Brazil, where he created and directed the Neuropsychopharmacology Laboratory at the University of Sao Paulo. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), being its President during two terms. He was a member of the Honorary Commission of the Uruguayan Center for Molecular Imaging (CUDIM), the Commission of the National System of Researchers (SNI) and the Uruguayan Commission in the BIOTECH-SUR Program of the European Union. He was President of the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU), and is a member of the provisional Central Board of Directors of UTEC since its foundation.
Andrés D. Gil

Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (Udelar). Master of Science and PhD at the University of Minnesota (UMN). He held the position of Professor of the Department of Biostatistics and Informatics of the School of Veterinary Medicine (Udelar). He is one of the founders of the Post-Graduate Program. He is alternate delegate in the School of Veterinary in the Coordinating Committee for Research in Animal Health (CCISA) and in the Academic Committee of Animal Health of the Association of Universities of the Montevideo Group (AUGM-CASA). In 2004, he was the first South American and veterinarian to receive the “Distinguished Leadership Award for Internationals”, awarded by the University of Minnesota. He was a short-term technical consultant or auditor for IAEA, FAO, MERCOSUR Secretariat, universities and other state entities in various countries. He is the author or co-author of more than 100 scientific communications. He is the current President of the Ibero-American Society of Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (SIEVMP) and was the South American representative in the International Society of Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics (ISVEE).

Since 2015, he has been teaching Mechatronics and since 2016 he has held the position of Director of the Southwest Regional Technological Institute (RTI) of the Technological University, being the first Regional Director in the territory. Tireless worker for the Decentralization and Development of Uruguay as a whole. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Committee for the Evaluation and Monitoring of Innovation Programs (CESPE) in the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII). He is a member of the Uruguayan Association of Engineers (AIU) since 2004.

Felipe Fajardo
Director of the Northern Regional Technological Institute
Civil Engineer (Udelar). Diploma in Infrastructure Development (Polytechnic University of Madrid in agreement with CND). Master in National Strategy (CALEN-MDN). He began his academic activity in the area of engineering and administration at the School of Engineering of UDELAR in 2007 where he is currently a Grade 3 Professor of the Department of Social Integration of Engineers. He is a member of SCAPA Management of the Master in Innovation Management since 2014, and was coordinator of the Postgraduate Degree in Technology Management from 2014 to 2018. At UTEC, he is Director of the Northern RTI since 2018 and Associate Professor in the area of knowledge management in the Technologist Degree in Industrial Mechatronics since 2019. He performed activities in the fields of project management and strategic infrastructure planning as an intern, assistant, designer, head of technical office, consultant, director and site supervisor from 2005 to 2020.
Ezequiel Alemán
Director UTEC Este
Ezequiel ha desarrollado una extensa carrera en el campo de la Interacción Humanos-Computadora y Educación, es Doctor por la Iowa State University y Magíster en Aprendizaje, Tecnología y Educación por el Learning Sciences Research Institute de la University of Nottingham. Complementando su formación académica, realizó un Postdoctorado en Inteligencia Artificial, Realidad Extendida y Educación en el Virtual Reality Applications Center (VRAC) de la misma universidad estadounidense. Además, posee un título de Profesor de Enseñanza Media obtenido en el Instituto de Profesores Artigas. Su carrera inició en la enseñanza media, donde descubrió su pasión por coordinar programas destinados a jóvenes. Ezequiel lideró el diseño del Programa de Lenguas de la Universidad Tecnológica y de la Maestría en Diseño de Ambientes de Aprendizaje. Su trayectoria académica fue reconocida con becas Chevening en el Reino Unido y Comisión Fulbright en los Estados Unidos en convenio con ANII. Como investigador, Ezequiel se especializa en alfabetización crítica de datos, algoritmos e inteligencia artificial. Ha desarrollado un portafolio significativo en el diseño de videojuegos educativos, promoviendo experiencias de aprendizaje basadas en juego. Su trabajo le valió el premio a la excelencia de investigación por su disertación en la Iowa State University, centrada en la implementación de un juego de realidad alterna en comunidades CECAP. También, recibió el premio a la excelencia docente por la misma universidad.
Mariana Boiani

Graduated in Biochemistry (Udelar), Master and Doctor in Chemistry (Udelar). She has a Diploma of Specialist in Technology Management (Udelar). In 2001 she began her academic activity in the Department of Organic Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry, where she worked as a professor and researcher until 2009. From 2009 to 2015 she carried out postdoctoral research at the Lawrence Marnett Laboratory (Vanderbilt University, USA) and at the Rafael Radi's Laboratory (CEINBIO, Faculty of Medicine). In 2016 she joined as a researcher and was later coordinator of the Industrial Extension Center, where she worked connecting companies with research units. She has participated in the training of undergraduate and graduate students and has numerous publications in the various areas of her specialty.

He has worked in public and private Educational Institutions, among which are the CETP-UTU Directorate of Educational Planning, Pedagogical Supervisor in the Faculty of Engineering of the ORT University and Director of Private Institutions. He was granted a scholarship by the Israeli Embassy for Postgraduate Studies in Technological Education and by the Institute of Advanced Studies for a "Cognitive Research" course (Venezuela). He was a member of the Career Commission of the Faculty of Humanities in Education Sciences. He is currently a member of the Consultative Council of Private Tertiary Education and Professor of Education Research. He has been a speaker in national and foreign events and has published in national and foreign magazines.

Profesor Senior UTEC (Encargado de las unidades curriculares Tecnología de Lácteos I y II) y Responsable de la Unidad Tecnológica de Lácteos de UTEC. Su actividad investigadora abarca: aplicación de tecnologías emergentes para el procesamiento de alimentos (alta presión hidrostática y de altas presiones dinámicas); inocuidad alimentaria; nanotecnología aplicada a alimentos; ciencia y tecnología de productos lácteos; desarrollo de productos tradicionales y novedosos.

She joined the Technological University in August 2013, where she currently serves as Director of Corporate Services. From November 2011 to June 2013, she worked at Montevideo Refrescos SRL, as Planning and Budget Manager. From November 2007 to November 2011, she worked at the National Research and Innovation Agency, as Administration and Finance Manager. She was a member of the Deloitte team until October 2007 as Audit Manager, joining the firm in 1986 as an Audit Assistant and working in that period in important national and foreign companies. She was a professor of the Department of Higher Accounting Theory and of the Department of Statistics I of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Administration of UDELAR, and a teacher of the Department of Sampling and Estimation of the ORT University of Uruguay. She has taken specialization courses in Science, Technology and Innovation Management at the National University of General Sarmiento (Buenos Aires - Argentina) and courses abroad at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve - Belgium) on Marketing, Finance, Administration, Statistics and Economics.

Se ha formado en diversas temáticas como gestión de calidad, salud y seguridad laboral, responsabilidad social empresarial, liderazgo y comunicación. Desde el año 2002 ha desempeñado cargos de dirección en diferentes empresas nacionales e internacionales, en las áreas de servicios, industria, construcción e instituciones educativas. Asesoró y capacitó empresas en Uruguay y Argentina en relación a normativa laboral y seguridad social, gestión y administración de recursos humanos, y relaciones laborales. Delegada del sector empresarial en negociaciones de los Consejos de Salarios, y representante de diferentes sectores de actividad en negociaciones tanto a nivel bipartito como tripartito.
Juan Marrero

Magister en Business Intelligence, con especialización en Data Science y Machine Learning. Desde el 2003 trabaja en la industria digital gestionando y liderando proyectos en empresas multinacionales en los rubros desarrollo y entretenimiento, juegos educativos y telefonía móvil. En 2006 crea su primera empresa en la que proporciona consultorías y desarrollo para integrar las tecnologías digitales en la estrategia de comunicación y gestión de empresas e instituciones. En el 2013 se integró a la Universidad Tecnológica con el propósito de aportar para la definición de estrategias y tácticas para integrar las tecnologías digitales en el proceso educativo. Durante el 2020 crea su segundo emprendimiento en el que proporciona consultorías y soluciones en transformación digital a instituciones educativas y de formación profesional de carácter internacional.
Patricia Alberro

Public Accountant (Udelar). Postgraduate in Corporate Finance (UCU). International academic experience (University of California-Riverside) In 1993 she began her work activity in the internal audit department at the School of Medicine until 1997, when she joined the multinational firm Deloitte as head of external audit. Between 2003 and 2006 she moved abroad (Dominican Republic) to provide auditing and consulting services for that firm. In 2006 she held the position of internal audit manager at Hotel & Casino Conrad in Punta del Este. Between 2008 and 2020, she worked as Administration & Finance Manager in the industrial and services area with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical sector. In June 2020, she took the role of Head of Internal Audit at UTEC. She has been a Deloitte internal facilitator, in addition to carrying out teaching activities in the areas of accounting and auditing at Deloitte, the Maldonado College of Accountants and the University of Montevideo.
