The construction of Strategic Research Groups at UTEC seeks to form research teams that can address high-impact challenges in the development of the territories, economic and social, with inter-institutional articulation and a multidisciplinary approach.
Smart Specialization Strategy Monitors
From the beginning, UTEC made a commitment to the development of research focused on meeting the demands of the territory and in conjunction with the productive sector.
We are working on applied research and technological services. For this we have built laboratories, hired researchers and incorporated first generation scientific equipment.
The construction of Strategic Research Groups at UTEC began last June 2021 with virtual training to train and raise awareness on issues and concepts of productive specialization and approach to value chains. Researchers from the different disciplines of UTEC, representatives of UdelaR, INIA, LATU, MIEM, ANDE, CEI, CIU, UNDP and Departmental Governments participate.
In the month of September, we will expand the participation to representatives of the productive sector, since we understand that their vision is important for the identification and validation of opportunities.
